Weights and Balance are fundamental learning skills. The game allows the comparison of different weights and how that affects balance with simple maths concepts to promote logical thinking and problem solving. The 16 magnetic blocks are all water-painted and made from beech wood while the magnets in the balancing base create stability and ease of use for little hands. The set includes 5 double sided challenge cards. The Janod Counting Caterpillars playfully teach how to make up and compare numbers. This hands on educational game will make the number concept easier to understand by physically displaying and manipulating numbers. The wooden base, 33 cards, 20 green and blue beads and 2 caterpillar heads, assist children to reproduce the numbers indicated on the game cards. The numbers may be shown as digits, fingers on a hand or polygonal dots (like on a dice). By stacking and counting the beads onto the wooden stand, a child will get a better understanding of how many beads to add or remove from the caterpillar's body to obtain a given quantity.
